Our Origins & Founding Vision
In 1993, Jim Lestinsky graduated from Missouri Auction School and earned his auctioneer license—laying the cornerstone for what would become Lestinsky Auctioneers. With a sharp eye for market trends and a drive for operational excellence, Jim transformed a one-man operation into a dynamic enterprise centered on integrity, transparency, and client-first service.
A True Family Enterprise
From day one, Lestinsky Auctioneers has been built on the power of synergy. Lori Lestinsky mastered the art of auction setup and developed a meticulous approach to cataloging antiques, elevating our presentation standards. Recognizing Lori’s impact, she transitioned to a full-time role, ensuring each event ran seamlessly. Supporting her efforts, Patt Hayhurst (Lori’s mother) spearheaded setup logistics and managed cashier operations on auction days, while Mary Ann Lestinsky (Jim’s mother) orchestrated our on-site food wagon, fueling bidders with homemade fare and friendly service.
Next-Generation Leadership & Strategic Expansion
At age six, Travis Lestinsky already had an auction chant under his belt—and by July 2014, he officially joined the ranks as a licensed auctioneer right out of high school. Travis has been instrumental in diversifying our portfolio, launching specialized auctions for farm machinery and construction equipment, and establishing our proprietary hauling and trucking services. Under his strategic influence, Lestinsky Auctioneers acquired a dedicated auction yard in Hanna, Indiana—enabling large-scale equipment showcases and specialty events that drive market reach and client satisfaction.
Innovation Through Technology & Process Optimization
Morgan Lestinsky cut her teeth running bid sheets before earning her degree in 2022. Today, she leads our digital transformation initiatives, designing and implementing our online auction platform to expand geographic reach and streamline bidding processes. Her contributions ensure Lestinsky Auctioneers remains at the forefront of industry innovation, delivering a seamless omnichannel experience for buyers and sellers alike.
